Next Saturday, our walkers will traverse 197 blocks across the city of Chicago to raise money for our scholars. The money raised will go towards care packages, campus visits, scholarships and more. Meet Madeja Sims! One of Pursue Unity’s 2023 Lea Meet Madeja Sims! One of Pursue Unity’s 2023 Lead Walkers! She is a @tayloruniv Alumni and graduated with a Bachelor's in Public Relations and is currently in pursuit of her Master’s in Education at Moreland University. Currently Madeja works at Rowe Clark Math and Science Academy as a Diverse Learner Teacher at Large. Pursue Unity is June 3rd so time is winding down to get donations in! Walking the length of the 3rd largest city in the Walking the length of the 3rd largest city in the US is no small feat. And we know that. That is why we are going to make sure that our walkers are supported every step of the way. We will have six support stations, approximately every 4 miles, set up and ready to assist our amazing walkers during their walk. Shoutout to some of our featured scholars, Liannah Foster who is majoring in Theater at Taylor University. Brandon Neal, a Pursue Alumn and is currently working at Pursue Scholars doing Social Media Strategy, and Israel Ailemen, a Bio Pre-Med major at Taylor University! We’re so grateful for our committed walkers, volunteers, and donors who are investing in Chicago’s young leaders! Plus you'll be able to say that you literally walked 197 blocks, from one end of the city to the other. Did we mention that a $250 grant will also be donated to Pursue for every person who walks the whole thing? No pressure. Meet Megan Molina, a Pursue Scholar Alumni and one of Pursue Unity 2023’s Lead Walkers! She attended Moody Bible Institute and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2022. Megan currently is a special education classroom assistant and a worship leader intern at her church.
